The Fed's spokesperson refutes Trump's comments on interest rate cuts, stating that the claim of a $1 trillion reduction in interest expenses is inaccurate.

According to 【Coin World】, "Fed mouthpiece" Nick Timiraos stated that Trump said if the Fed drops short-term interest rates, the interest expenditure in the U.S. will decrease by $1 trillion each year. The U.S. spent $1.1 trillion on interest expenditure in 2024, so this claim is almost impossible to be true.
