Developer Improvements
Transaction confirmation times are faster due to a global thread pool change, boosting proving time by 90%, and the program constraint limit is doubled to 2 million. New print features in SnarkVM and fixed endpoints enhance debugging.
Node Operator Enhancements
A bug causing excessive staking logs is fixed, RPC endpoints now use JWT guarding, and a log filter flag plus sync status endpoint improve node management. These updates help operators track sync progress across Testnet and Mainnet.
Leo 3.0 and SDK Updates
Leo 3.0 introduces const generics for inline functions and structs, improving loop flexibility and code readability, with no more input files (command-line arguments only). The AleoSDK 0.9.3 adds record/transition view keys, automatic fee calculation, and native hash functions (BHP, Pedersen, Poseidon) for better privacy and development.
ARC 46 and Future Upgrades
ARC 46 requires 100,000 Aleo Credits per puzzle solution per epoch starting July 31, 2025, increasing to 2.5 million over two years to prevent Sybil attacks and incentivize investment. ARC 5, proposing a 90% fee reduction and priority fees, is in proposal stage for SnarkOS 4.1.0, with program upgradability (ARC 6) set for Testnet on August 5, 2025, and Mainnet the following week.
