Casio "G-SHOCK" to Launch NFT Collection on Sandbox | CoinDesk JAPAN
Casio Computer announced on August 5 that it will launch multiple NFT collections themed around its shock-resistant watch "G-SHOCK" in the Web3 gaming metaverse "The Sandbox."
This initiative is part of the "VIRTUAL G-SHOCK" project that started in 2023, and it aims to express the brand's worldview by utilizing blockchain technology.
As a specific measure, two types of NFT collections will be released starting from September 3, 2025, at 11:00 PM.
One is the robot-shaped avatar of the "G-SHOCK DROID Collection" inspired by four representative models of G-SHOCK and a fictional big size model. The other is a wearable NFT collection titled "G-SHOCK WEAR & CREATION."
In addition to these NFT sales, free game content "G-SHOCK CITY" will be released starting from September 24, 2025, at 11:00 PM. Here, players can experience a survival race reminiscent of G-SHOCK's durability tests and an adventure tracing the history of the brand.
