DBS Bank issues Ethereum tokenized notes, a cryptocurrency-linked product open to institutional investors.
On August 21, DBS Bank, the largest bank in Singapore, announced the issuance of tokenized structured notes on the Ethereum public chain, open to qualified and institutional investors at local exchanges ADDX, DigiFT, and HydraX. The first product is a participation note linked to crypto assets, cash settled on rise, and limited loss on fall. The note unit has been reduced from the traditional 100,000 USD to 1,000 USD, enhancing liquidity and trading convenience.
It is reported that in the first half of 2025, the trading volume of related products will exceed 1 billion USD, with a nearly 60% quarter-on-quarter growth in Q2. DBS will subsequently expand into stocks and credit notes.
