Reports say Trump is considering approving plans for an attack on Iran's Fordow nuclear facility.
On June 20, according to reports, multiple sources have stated that U.S. President Trump has understood the pros and cons of bombing Iran's most secure nuclear facility, Fordow. His thinking is that due to the risks of producing weapons in a relatively short time, destroying the facility is necessary.
A source said, "Trump believes there are not many options. Completing the mission means destroying Fordow." On Wednesday, a senior intelligence source and a Defense Department official stated that Trump approved an attack plan against Iran on Tuesday night, but has not yet made a final decision on whether to strike the country and formally join Israel's airstrike operations. The source said Trump is willing to involve the U.S. in the strikes if that is necessary to destroy the facility.
As of Thursday morning, he was still considering his options and had not made a clear decision. Sources said one option that Trump considered was that Iran could close Fordow on its own if the Iranian leaders were willing.
